Waiwera Beach is a short easy drive from Auckland - Waiwera is world famous for its thermal springs, hot water pools and beautiful beaches.  Waiwera is nestled in between one large hillside and the  Wenderholm Regional Park.

Staying at  in Waiwera  Beach Cottage offers swimming and sun bathing at the beach.  Waiwera Thermal Pools are a great place to swim in thermal water and ride the spectacular water slides etc.

Waiwera Beach is ideal for kayaking and exploring around what the locals call Sugar Loaf island and the coast land surrounding Waiwera. 

Wenderholm Regional Park offers hiking and tramping trails for varying degrees of fitness - ideal for a morning walk or adventure - Native Bush abounds in Wenderholm Regional Park and if you want a New Zealand bush experience Wenderholm is ideal. 

Horse Riding is just a short drive up the Upper Waiwera.

Staying at Waiwera Beach Cottage  is an ideal base  to see more of what the Rodney area  has to offer - there are many Vineyards within a short drive  - you could drive to Matakana and the markets on Saturday.

Drive to Warkworth which is a lovely, provincial New Zealand town (approximately 20 minutes) and enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafe's.  Sheepworld is great if you want to get up and close to Sheep and see sharing etc.

World Famous Puhoi Pub is 5 minutes away - located in one of only two Historic Villages of New Zealand the Puhoi Pub is ideal for a lazy afternoon drink sitting on the large lawn in front of the pub


Waiwera is a place to get a true New Zealand experience, smell the fresh air and hear the sound of all the New Zealand native birds.     The essence of what New Zealand is all about is experienced at Waiwera Beach.
